You target a creature within range, attempting to plunge them into a deep magical slumber. The targeted creature must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature falls into a state of comatose slumber, completely unaware of their surroundings. On a successful save, the creature is unaffected.
While under the effects of Comatose, the target's body enters a suspended animation, appearing to be in a deep sleep. The target is [Tooltip Not Found] and cannot take any actions, reactions, or movement. They cannot perceive their surroundings or be woken by normal means. Any ongoing spells or effects affecting the target are temporarily suspended until Comatose ends.
The targeted creature remains in this comatose state for the spell's duration, or until the effect is dispelled or ended prematurely. The caster can end the spell at any time, using their action to do so. Additionally, if the targeted creature takes any damage, it can repeat the Wisdom saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a successful save.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 10th level or higher, you can target an additional creature for each slot level above 9th. Each creature must be within 30 feet of each other when you target them.
