Constellation

You hurl a glowing mote of radiant starlight at a creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 radiant damage, and the mote of starlight sticks on the creature for 1 minute and sheds dim light at a range of 5ft. A creature can take an action to snuff out the mote of starlight.

If two or more instances of Constellation motes exist within 20ft of each other, either from another casting or another caster, a visible tether links with the motes that are unlinked and creatures that have the motes linked do not gain the benefits of heavy obscurement, thanks to the tethers of light revealing their exact location.

The spell's damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).
