The spell creates 2d4 undead skeleton servants. Choose piles of humanoid bones within range. Your spell imbues the targets with false life, raising them as undead skeletons. They act immediately after your turn in initiative.
On each of your turns, you can use a bonus action to mentally command any creatures you made with this spell if they're within range of you (issuing the same order to each one). You decide what action the creatures take and where they move during their next turn, or you can issue a general command, such as to guard a chamber or corridor. If you issue no commands, they only defend themselves against hostile creatures. Once given an order, the creatures continue to follow it until the task's complete.
The creatures are under your control for a minute, after which they collapse to the ground.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a slot of 5th or higher, you're able to add an extra 1d4 total skeletons for each slot above 4th.
