You weave a tapestry of illusionary magic that creates echoes of yourself to confuse and confound your enemies. When you cast this spell, up to three illusory duplicates of yourself appear in unoccupied spaces within 10 feet of you. These duplicates mimic your actions, creating the illusion of multiple spellcasters.
While the spell is active, whenever you take the Attack action, you can choose to make one additional attack for each of your illusory duplicates still present. Each attack must target a different creature within range and make a separate attack roll. On a hit, each attack deals normal damage.
In addition, when a creature targets you with an attack, it must make an Intelligence saving throw. On a failed save, the attack targets one of your illusory duplicates instead, destroying it. If all your duplicates are destroyed, subsequent attacks target you as normal.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you can create an additional illusory duplicate for each slot level above 3rd.
