A swarm of termites or other wood-eating insects congregate within a 5-foot-cube at a point you choose within sight. The swarm accumulates over the length of the casting time and remains for the duration. It has the same attributes as a normal swarm of insects, but will follow the caster's telepathic direction to the best of its ability.
The caster can use this spell to make ability checks as if he had Woodcarver's Tools, and proficiency with their use. While the swarm poses minimal danger to most creatures, those with the plant type must make a constitution save, taking 2d10 piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A plant creature must also make this saving throw when it enters the spell's area for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d10 and an additional 5-foot-cube is called for each slot level above 2th.
