Every individual has a unique rhythm, a bias for and again certain notes depending on their mood or situation. By casting this spell, you create a link between yourself and the target, the spell then guides your movements to play a song attuned to their rhythm and mood for maximum efficiency, playing a perfect and unmatched song fit for them only. If another person hears the song, it will simply sound like a good song to them, without being influenced by the effects of the spell. If the target moves out of range during the casting, the link is broken and the spell fails. Once the spell is cast, the target must succeed a Wisdom saving throw or become victim to the spell's effect. The spell fails if the target is an unintelligent creature or cannot hear you.

The song lasts for 2 minutes, during this time you are unable to cast spells or take actions/bonus actions. You are free to move, however the spell loses efficiency when played out of range. When the song ends, the target is left in awe, at a lost for words. A thief listening to the song may, for example, reconsider every decision that led them to their life of stealing and so, decide to become a better person. If the song is interrupted halfway through playing, the emotional effect on the target is half as powerful and vice versa.

However, it is also possible to play this song with reverse intent, playing Varen's Imperfect Melody

The Imperfect Melody brings out the darkest memories and emotions out of the target instead of the good, leaving them in a state of despair. In this state, the target loses its will to go on and to live. Since the effects of the spell are emotional, the only way to remove them is to remove the memories of the target hearing the song.
