You target a creature that you can see. The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a successful save, nothing happens. On a failed save, the creature is dragged through a whirling vortex of reality. This vortex takes them to a mind-bending demi-plane until the end of your next turn.
When the target reappears, they do so in the same spot in which they left and are knocked prone. The chaotic sights catch up to them and they take psychic damage equal to 8d6 + two times the INT modifier of the target (targets with a negative modifier subtract from the damage).
If you are within 5ft of your target, you can choose to drag them through the portal. The target is automatically teleported without the opportunity for a wisdom save, however; you are also teleported and suffer the same effects as your target.
