You cause bloodworms to sprout on the ground within 60 feet of you. The area filled with bloodworms consists of up to five five-foot squares, which you can arrange as you wish. Each square must have at least one face adjacent to the face of another square.
Creatures who enter the area for the first time on a turn or start their turn in the affected area must make a CON saving throw or take 2d6 necrotic damage and have disadvantage on attack rolls. A creature who succeeds on their saving throw takes half.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd and you gain an addition 5 feet of area to target.
