You strike out with the weapon used in the spell’s casting, and an arc of fiery energy bursts outward from you. Each creature in a 15-foot cone must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d6 fire damage plus 5 slashing damage, and 1d6 fire damage at the end of their next turn. On a successful save, a creature takes half of the initial damage, but doesn't take damage again during it's turn.
The fire ignites any flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd. This counts for both the initial fire damage and the damage at the end of a creature's turn.
