You sacrifice a fragment of your soul to spark a gout of ill-green flames that roar from your hands in a 5-foot-wide, 100-foot-long line. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 8d8 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Constructs and undead aren’t affected. You take 4d8 necrotic damage.
You can create a new line of fire as your action on any turn until the spell ends. Each time you create a new line of fire, you take 4d8 necrotic damage.
If damage from this spell reduces a creature to 0 hit points, the creature is turned to ash.
For the duration, your hands are wreathed in ill-green flames. They shed bright light in a 5-foot-radius and dim light for an additional 5 feet. These flames harm neither you nor your equipment.

This is a really good spell, but maybe have the necrotic damage reduce by 1d8 each time you use it.
i dont think so, it says a fragment of your soul and not a big portion. a creature's soul is nearly infinite, so when you cast this spell it just takes a chip off of a moutian
