With a defiant flick of the hand you unleash a wave of unbearable heat, forming a cloud of scorching flames and embers in a 15-foot radius around you. For the duration, the cloud follows you and remains burning.
When a creature enters the affected area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, the creature must make a Constitution saving throw. A creature takes 1d8 + your spellcasting modifier fire damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
The flaming cloud ignites any flammable objects in the area that are not being worn or carried.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for every level above 1st.
