You store all the knowledge of your mind, including everything you've learned and your memories, in the pearl. The pearl becomes a magic object immune to all damage except force. It has an AC of 20 and 5 hp. While knowledge's stored by this spell in the pearl, it can be treated as a target for any spell or effect which could read thoughts or sense memories. (Detect Thoughts, Modify Memory etc.)
Alternatively, you can cast this spell to search a pearl affected by this spell for a piece of specific knowledge or memories. Doing so gives you full access to all knowledge inside the pearl. How you sense the knowledge varies based on what you're looking for. If you seek a memory, your mind's eye might replay a memory in your head. If you seek an answer to a question, you'll learn whatever the stored mind knew regarding that question. Extracting information this way doesn't grant you any special knowledge or understanding about the knowledge you find, nor any special abilities to put that knowledge into practice that you wouldn't already have.
