Once the spell is completed what looks like a simple distortion in the air will burst out from their body but anything substantial, including life, that it comes into contact with is annihilated and all that remains in the range of the spell will be the dust. The only way to survive this is if you can create a shield of strong enough power to protect yourself. Usually when an Eldrazi Warlock prepares to use this spell they will often let their fellow spell casters know so they have time to prepare a shield for the party.
