Blinding light pours from a point you can see within range, shedding bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. The bright light spreads around corners, but the dim light does not. Any creature that can see that starts its turn within the bright light or enters it for the first time on their turn must make a Constitution saving throw. On a fail, the creature is blinded until the start of their next turn.
If you chose a point on an object you are holding or one that isn’t being worn or carried, the light shines from the object and moves with it. Completely covering the affected object with an opaque object, such as a bowl or a helm, blocks the light.
At Higher Levels. If you use a spell slot of 3rd-level or higher, the light from the spell counts as sunlight. If you use a spell slot of 5th-level or higher, the spell doesn't require concentration.
