Target one creature or object of your choice within sight. If that target is a creature, it must succeed a Dexterity saving throw or become engulfed by black smokeless flames. If they succeed,  the flames engulf the area directly behind them instead. If there is any obstruction to your vision, the new obstruction becomes engulfed; without any Saving Throw. These flames can’t be put out by water or by any magic below 9th Level. The black flames deal 1d6 Fire Damage to anything they is burning at the beginning of your turn. You can choose to put out any of these flames that you can see as an action and by expending a 1 Spell Slot per a 10 foot area you wish to extinguish. A 1st Spell Slot equals 10 feet, a 2nd Spell Slot equals 20 feet, a 3rd Spell Spot equals 30 feet, etc. If an afflicted creature dies while burning, they turn to ash upon death and can only be resurrected by a true resurrection or wish spell. These flames have a 10% chance at spreading to any object within 5 feet, even if it is magical or does not traditionally burn. These flames can burn things such as water and magical fire.

The number of targets you can engulf with flames increases by 1 when you reach 7th level (2 Targets), 13th level (3 Targets), and 18th level (4 Targets).
