As you entrap the insect into the web, you point your finger and utter the incantation, a point you choose within range explodes with masses of sticky webbing which causes everyone caught within the spells range to suffer from a psychic onslaught as they are trapped within a maze of white webs. Each creature in a 30-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make an Intelligence saving throw. A target takes 8d6 Psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one and is webbed.
The webs are so thick and voluminous that movement within the web is reduced to zero and one can only escape by either cutting or burning their way out at 5 foot per round.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.
