A creature of your choice that you can see within range and that can hear you suffers necrotic damage equal to 1d4 + your spellcasting ability modifier. This spell has no effect on undead or constructs. The caster may then distribute a number of hit points equal to the number of hit points lost by the target to any number of creatures that are also within range of the spell. The creatures need not be conscious to receive the hit points, but must be capable of hearing the caster’s shout (I.e. not inside an area that has been magically silenced.)
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 2nd.
