Dim, reddish light spreads within a 30-foot cube centered on a point you choose within range. The light spreads around corners, and it lasts until the spell ends.
When a creature moves into the spell’s area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, that creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 4d10 necrotic damage, and it suffers one level of exhaustion as it starts to rapidly age. When a creature dies in the area affected by this spell, it effectively expires from old age. The environment within the cube is also affected; plants wither, stone cracks, wood decays, metal rusts, and so on and so forth. When the spell ends, any creature that still has more than 0 hit points returns to its original age before the spell was cast and any levels of exhaustion that it has suffered go away.
