You momentarily create a magical conduit to gather a specific spell component from a distant location and bring it to your hand. This spell allows you to acquire a non-magical component required for a spell you know, as long as it is within range and you are familiar with its appearance and properties.
Choose a spell component you need that is no larger than a 1-foot cube. The component can be located anywhere within range, even behind barriers or on another plane of existence. If you are aware of any creatures or magical effects guarding the component, you can attempt to bypass them using your spellcasting ability check.
Make an Intelligence (Arcana) check against a DC determined by the DM, based on the difficulty of obtaining the component. The DC can be influenced by factors such as distance, security measures, or the rarity of the component. On a successful check, you instantly conjure the desired component into your hand. On a failed check, you fail to locate the component, and the spell slot is wasted.
This spell does not work on magical components, sentient beings, or components that are too large or secured by powerful magic. Additionally, this spell cannot be used to acquire valuable components, such as gems or costly reagents.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the range increases by 30 feet for each slot level above 1st.
This spell allows wizards to retrieve specific non-magical components necessary for their spells, providing them with a versatile tool to overcome obstacles or acquire resources from afar.
