A crest of dark energy appears around you and opens like an eyelid, sending a 20 foot cone of magical darkness out from you. Creatures in the spell's area must make a Constitution saving throw. A creature takes 4d8 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. Additionally, a creature that fails this save is blinded until the end of your next turn.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd.
