You focus your energy and execute a devastating kick aimed at your target's head. A surge of blinding light emanates from your foot, attempting to overwhelm their vision. Make a melee spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target must make a Constitution saving throw.
On a failed save, the target is blinded until the end of their next turn. The bright light temporarily dazzles their eyes, making it difficult for them to perceive their surroundings and effectively attack. The blinded target has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks that rely on vision. They also automatically fail any ability checks that require sight.
On a successful save, the target isn't blinded, but they still suffer the damage from the kick. The target takes bludgeoning damage equal to 2d8 plus your spellcasting ability modifier.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the bludgeoning damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd.
