You place the rods at four points and draw a square with chalk around a single target victim of your choosing. A 10 ft x10 ft room with dim light erects with a padlock and key. The room may be used to torture your target victim. Inside you find different simple tools, such as pliers and daggers, as well as furnishings that you will into the room when casting the spell. A switchboard that you, yourself, is unable to control is present with three of the following spells. The spells are chosen at the DM's discretion.
- Charm Person
- Zone of Truth
- Hold Person
- Hold Monster
- Cause Fear
- Minor Illusion
- Prestidigitation
While inside the room, an ally may assist you with carrying out your actions and you nor any effect you produce may operate the switchboard. The switchboard spells may be cast at will of the operator. The lighting and sounds produced by the room may be adjusted by you or an accompanying ally. The effects of the room are not detectable outside the room if the door is locked from the outside. Spells may be cast in the room by any of its occupants. Due to the stress presented to the victim, they have disadvantage on all checks, ability and attack rolls, saving throws, and their spell DC is decreased by 2. The victim also loses all temporary hit points. When the spell ends, the victim gains two points of exhaustion and their hit point maximum is decreased by 10 until they complete a long rest.
