Adaptive Defense

When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to gain resistance to the damage type of that attack (piercing, slashing, or bludgeoning).   When this spell is cast using a 4th level spell slot, it grants resistance to two types of damage of your choice (piercing, slashing, or bludgeoning). When cast using a 5th level spell slot or higher, it provides resistance to all three types of damage. Casting this spell at a level higher than 5th does not confer any additional benefits.
