You choose a creature you can see within range whose challenge rating or level is no higher than 4, and create a copy of the creature within 10 ft. of you. If the original creature is willing, they are copied without issue. Otherwise, they must succeed a Charisma saving throw to resist the effect. The new copy is identical the original creature with the following changes:
- The copy takes on a number of feline characteristics, such as whiskers, sharp teeth, or soft fur.
- It has half as many Hit Points and Hit Dice
- It is considered a Beast.
The copy will be allied toward you and your allies and can be commanded by you (no action required), though depending on the creature (such as a prideful blue dragon wyrmling or revelrous space clown), it may not obey direct orders.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell at 5th level or higher, the maximum challenge rating or the copied creature increases by 1 for each slot level above 4th.
