You cause one small or smaller creature or nonmagical object made wood to bend and warp.

A creature takes 3d8 force damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

An object is permanently warped destroying its straightness, form, and strength. A warped door springs open (or becomes stuck, requiring a Strength check to open, at your option). A boat or ship springs a leak. Warped ranged weapons are useless. A warped melee weapon causes a -4 penalty on attack rolls.

Alternatively, you can unwarp wood (effectively warping it back to normal) with this spell, straightening wood that has been warped by this spell or by other means. Mending on the other hand, does no good in repairing a warped item.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd. If cast against an object using a spell slot above 2nd level you can effect one additional object for each slot above 2nd or larger objects. A Medium object counts as two Small objects, a Large object as four, a Huge object as eight.
