You place an invisible glyph on an object which allows you to see the object in a faint colorful aura. Many mages and sorcerers use this to mark important items that if ever stolen, they can easily find and distinguish it from potential fake copies. The glyph gives off no magical aura, and cannot be discerned by means of any other divination magic such as Detect Magic, or the Identify spell.
While a creature is carrying a marked object, the creator of the mark can use the Scrying spell on the object. The creator can see the object or the container carrying the object and the surrounding area within the limits of the Scrying spell. The object can't be scryed on through any thickness of lead, even a thin sheet, blocks you from observing the marked object.
The Dispel Magic spell can end the the effects of the marker, removing the glyph and the creator's ability to scry on the object.
* - (Any object that will become the marker and a drop of your own blood.)
