Adamantine Shield

An effect of the Adamantine shield. This buckler shield is reinforced with adamantine, one of the hardest substances in existence. While you are wielding it, when you or an ally within 5 feet of you suffer a Critical Hit, you can spend your reaction to make it a Normal Hit. The decision to use the shield must be made after the critical hit is rolled but before damage is rolled.

A shield is made from wood or metal and is carried in one hand. Wielding a shield increases your Armor Class by 2. You can benefit from only one shield at a time.
