Choose a number of humanoids equal to your proficiency bonus, that you can see within range. The target must succeed on a Intelligence saving throw or be paralyzed for the duration. At the end of each of its turns, the target can make another Intelligence saving throw. On a success, the spell ends on the target.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, you can target one additional humanoid for each slot level above 5th. The humanoids must be within 30 feet of each other when you target them.
The spell was adapted from a binding, shadow-stitching technique performed by a powerful Leaf village shinobi, Shikamaru Nara. While in the world of Naruto, Cameron the Clairvoyant observed a number of powerful ninjutsu techniques, and inspired him to craft his spells in different ways. In the version created by the wizard, spectral star chains coalesce around the humanoids, wrapping them in a glittering nebula.
