As an action the caster touches a creature within range and it learns somethings about their magic or magical ability. If the creature is unwilling then the caster must make a spell attack roll against said creature. If the creature has spells such as Arcanist's Magic Aura (active) in which the creature fools or is immune to divination magic, the spell doesn't work. If the caster succeeds the caster can learn about 5 things about the creature affected.  

1. The creature's aptitude towards a certain school of magic

2. The creature's highest level spell from a school of magic (that it has prepared)

3. The amount of spells the creature has for a school of magic (that is prepared)

4. The creature's aptitude for one other form of magic (like psionics), that the other creature can use. 

You can also choose to cast this spell for a minute to gain additional benefits. First the caster has to be touching the affected creature at all times, during the casting of the spell. Second the creature affected has to be willing. Lastly if each of these conditions are met and the spell is cast; you can learn 8 things about the creature.
