The Verdant Dominion spell channels the primal essence of nature's power, allowing the druid to command and manipulate plant life on an unparalleled scale. When you cast this spell, you become a living conduit for the energies of the natural world, transforming yourself into an embodiment of untamed vegetation.

For the duration of the spell, you gain the following benefits:

  1. Plant Form: Your body undergoes a temporary transformation, becoming a being of pure plant matter. You gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks. You can pass through nonmagical plants without being hindered by them and without taking damage.

  2. Plant Mastery: You can communicate with plants and command their actions as if they were extensions of your own body. You can issue simple commands to plants within 120 feet of you, causing them to move, entangle, or even attack creatures within their reach. This control extends to a radius of 60 feet from you.

  3. Verdant Aura: A calming aura of natural vitality radiates from you in a 30-foot radius. Friendly creatures within this aura regain hit points at the start of their turn equal to your druid level. Additionally, the area becomes difficult terrain for enemies, as the ground becomes overgrown with lush vegetation.

  4. Photosynthetic Resilience: You gain temporary hit points at the start of each of your turns while the spell is active. These temporary hit points equal your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus.

  5. Nature's Wrath: Once during the spell's duration, you can unleash nature's fury. You summon a massive surge of plant growth and life energy in a 60-foot cone originating from you. Each creature in that area must make a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, a creature takes 8d10 bludgeoning damage, is restrained by the entangling vegetation, and is blinded by the profusion of plant life until the start of your next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage and isn't restrained or blinded.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 10th level or higher, the bludgeoning damage from the Nature's Wrath feature increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 9th.

Note: The Verdant Dominion spell exemplifies the mastery of a 9th level Druid over the domain of plants and nature. It offers a range of potent abilities that enable the Druid to wield and manipulate plant life in both defensive and offensive capacities. The spell not only bolsters the Druid's connection to the natural world but also allows them to shape the battlefield and support their allies through the magic of plants.
