When you cast this spell you call forth a random cr 0 tiny beast of the Dungeon Master's choosing. If there is none readily available in the area the spell fails. You are always guaranteed at least a rodent when casting this spell in a large city or forest, but can only have one creature conjured at a time. When you conjure a creature, the creature that approaches you will try to obey any command you give it, but has no natural way to communicate with you or understand you beyond simple one word instructions. If you harm the creature or issue a command that would put the creature in any perceivable danger the creature will not obey your command and the spell ends, otherwise the creature is friendly to you and will not attempt to harm or hinder  your allies.

You can give any instruction to the critter, however the DM determines how the creature responds or behaves to the instruction if at all.

The following are instructions you can give the creature that it will always obey to some degree, how much or how is determined by the DM.

  • Fetch,

The creature retrieves an item it can carry no larger than 2 pounds or 1 foot in length.

  • Deliver,

The creature takes a single object it can carry of the same requirements of fetch and drags or carries it to a point of your choosing, you and it can see.

  • Come,

The creature approaches you as best it can.

  • Go,

The creature moves in the direction you point to the best of its abilities.

  • Halt,

The creature stops moving.

When the spell ends the creature loses any ability to understand you and runs off and whenever you cast this spell multiple times within the same hour, whether it succeeds or fails. There is a compounding 10 percent chance the spell will fail to cast, at a maximum rate of (99%).
