“Electricity has a habit of taking either the fastest path between two points or the path of least resistance. With this spell, you can do both- but I will warn you, it’s gonna hurt. A lot.”  - Arlus Licht, being asked about the spells he pioneered in an interview

Grasping the chunk of iron, you pound your chest with your fist twice, and are momentarily transformed into a being of pure electricity. Upon casting this spell, you take 2d12 lightning damage, but all of your speed is tripled and you do not provoke attacks of opportunity until the end of your turn. Additionally, when you move within five feet of a creature on that turn, that creature takes 3d4 lightning damage. If you make a full circle around that creature, it will take 3d4 lightning damage again, but otherwise a creature can only be affected by this damage once. Your speed returns to normal at the end of your turn, as you revert to your normal form.

Casting this spell counts as using the Dash action for any feature that requires it.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage dealt increases by 2d4 for every slot above 4th, but the self-damage inflicted increases by 1d12 for every 2 slots above 4th level Additionally, if cast using a 7th-level slot or higher, your speed is quadrupled instead of tripled.
