“Misfortune hangs heavy on a head once held high. Such is poor cover for when the heavens fall.”
- Nameless fortune teller
Calling on otherworldly force, you cause gravity to concentrate heavily on one target you can see within range. This target must succeed on a Strength saving throw or take 8d8 Bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone, or half as much on a success. Additionally, the target must make another Strength saving throw at the start of their next turn. If the target fails this saving throw, they are considered Incapacitated and their movement speed is halved, as the crushing force keeps them locked to the ground. This force also rips any weapons or shields out of their hands. The target may repeat this saving throw at the start of each of their subsequent turns, ending all effects on a success.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage dealt increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd. Additionally, if this spell is cast using a slot of 6th level or higher, the target is Restrained instead of Incapacitated.
