Companion's Call

You call forth a willing and familiar creature you have encountered previously and make a DC 8 Arcana check, upon success you magically summon the creature to within 5ft of your location in an unoccupied space. Upon failure, the targeted creature must succeed a constitution saving throw equal to the caster's spell DC; on failure the target becomes the victim of dimensional splicing, taking 1d8 force damage and appearing randomly within 20ft of the caster.

The creature must be located within the same plane of existence as you and its size may not exceed large. The spell has no effect on an unwilling target or a target with a constitution of less than 2.
