Arcane Slice

As part of the action used to cast this spell, you make a ranged spell attack against one creature within the spell’s range, otherwise the spell fails.

On a hit, the target suffers the attack’s normal effects as force damage in place of the weapon's usual damage type, at the spell's range instead of melee range.
The target is cut by a slice of force propelled forward by the weapon, the target takes an extra 2d8 force damage.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st.
