When you drink a cup of coffee as part of casting this spell, you gain the following benefits for the duration:
- Your speed increases by 10 feet.
- You gain advantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks.
- You can take one additional action on each of your turns. The action can be used only to take the Attack (one weapon attack only), Dash, Disengage, Hide, or Use an Object action.
When the spell ends, you suffer the effects of a level of exhaustion as the caffeine wears off.
* - (a cup of freshly brewed coffee)

Posted Oct 30, 2023Interesting variant of Haste. Was the hour duration inspired by the time it takes to metabolize caffeine? Might you want to make this available to the Drunken Master monk subclass? Actually that suggestion might go for your other coffee spells too. Semi-related; I always wondered why Haste didn't allow the Help action for Distraction, and this prompts the same question. If you wanted to add that, or any other boost that would call for a negative to balance it, perhaps there's a penalty to Concentration checks associated with it? That also makes the exhaustion drawback more important.

Posted Oct 30, 2023I don't really know how I can make this available to the Drunken Master monk subclass? But it's true that it would be appropriate.
