Through sheer force of will and the utterance of it's name you call upon the eldritch might of lightning to strike your enemies where they stand. The target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d8 lightning damage and can't take reactions until the start of its next turn. Until then, the static sparks around the target. If you the target is constructed of or wearing armor made of metal it also has disadvantage on attack rolls against you until the end of your next turn.
