You point your finger at a point you choose within range. A 5-foot ball of green fire flies off in that direction, which then blossoms in a moderate-pitch roar into an explosion of acid and flames. Each creature within a 20-foot sphere centered on that point must make a Dexterity saving throw. A target takes 6d6 Fire damage and 4d8 Acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The fire spreads around corners, and some of the acid does too, though targets around corners take only 3d8 Acid damage instead of 4d8. The fire ignites flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried, and the acid corrodes corrodible objects in that area that aren't being worn or carried.
At higher levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the Fire damage increases by 1d6 and the Acid damage by 1d8 for each additional level above 5th. Also for each level above 5th, the size of the fireball increases in radius by 2 feet, and the explosion radius also increases by 2 feet.
