Invisible
A creature you touch becomes invisible until the spell ends. Anything the target is wearing or carrying is invisible as long as it is on the target's person. The spell ends for a target that attacks or casts a spell.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 2nd.

wait since when does invis not require concentration?
This spell does require concentration. That's what the little diamond-shaped "C" icon next to the duration means.
I assume that creatures are not objects and therefore cannot be equiped, dead body in your backpack would be invisible, your friend halfling would be floating in crouched position if hes still alive
Sorry, you're wrong in your breakdown of the word anything - while it implies that it is "any thing", the word anything is not the same, by definition. But let's say you're right, and the meaning is "any thing", which is a more restrictive definition -
"Thing" according to the Brittanica Dictionary, includes the following in its definition, as category 11
"11
Which negates the argument that a "thing" is somehow not a reference to a person at times. See the middle example for how it could be used to define a person.
That said, the argument that a horse is a creature, and that what it is carrying is somehow not included, as it is not part of the "anything" description, is specious. However, it is important to note that the effectiveness of the spell would be diminished, as getting a horse to move quietly, and not move things it brushed against, is problematic.
Finally, of course, is the simple caveat that the DM has the right to determine that, in their campaign, the rules are modified to not include carrying.
All in all, the definition of the spell is clunky at best, and needs to be reworked.
Can't you use the Help action while invisible without dispersing it?
Why is it worded like this? Wildshape isn't a spell!, or Rage, or Bardic inspiration.
If A wizard goes invisible and the enemy never knew you were there, can't you then use arcane recovery while invisible since they are not in combat and it's not a spell?
This is worded so dumbly.
Using items isn't an attack or spell, can I throw a bomb as long as I don't impact someone directly?
also the duration is an hour, you know what else is an hour? A short rest, which certainly isn't an attack or spell. can't a warlock be infinitely invisible behind enemy lines?
Also, interacting with an item isn't an attack, and it makes it invisible as well, can't I grab a chair and move it in front of an enemy and they walk into it like an idiot?
This Spell is so scuffed, it's awesome
Yes, all of these things are things you can do while you're under the effect of this spell without breaking it. That's intentional.
Could I cast this on a snail, and then strap the snail to a barrel of smokepowder, and have an invisible bomb?
Yes
I think that's really stretching the definition of "wearing or carrying", but I suppose it's up to your DM.
Alright y'all, how would you rule a bard using Invisibility? Does the Bard have to be using his instrument to stay invisible? Does he just do a quick guitar riff than he's invisible until he loses concentration?
In my house rules every player is allowed to hold themselves in a fetal position as a free action
Has anyone asked, When a player is holding an item that emit light, (i.e. torch, flametongue, or sunsword) then has invisibility cast upon them is that light invisible?
yes you can
