What ever that haunts you cannot remain constrained, so it is vented out. Each time you forfeit this action doing something else the power of the spell builds up. By forfeiting this action for 1 turn, the spell deals 1d4 psychic damage to a failed constitution save. By forfeiting this action for 2 turns, the spell deals 2d4 damage. By forfeiting this action for 3 turns, the spell deals 3d4 damage. This pattern continues until a maximum of 5 turns, in which case you must take the damage and the cycle restarts. Target is also frightened until their next turn whether they succeeded the save or not. Amount of turns before a long rest equals players level. If by chance there are no enemies around, the spell can be vented out on inanimate objects, which will result in choosable effects (Eg. Pottery shattering, a piece of paper burning up with a black flame that doesn’t spread or a face in a painting screaming).
