You create a wall of swirling, opaque ink at a point you can see within range. The wall can be up to 20 feet high, 20 feet wide, and 1 foot thick. The wall appears within range on a solid surface and lasts for the duration.
The wall is an opaque barrier that obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond it. It blocks gases, most breath weapons, and creatures in gaseous form. Noncorporeal creatures can pass through it without resistance.
Any material object or creature that passes through the wall becomes stained with indelible ink. This ink is difficult to remove: it can be scratched off rock and metal, does not adhere to glass, but permanently stains wood, cloth, leather, and paper. On skin, the ink will eventually fade with the natural skin renewal process. Creatures that pass through the wall leave ink tracks behind them for 2 rounds.
The wall of ink is 100% invisible at night and 75% invisible in shadowy conditions, making it a potential trap for unsuspecting creatures.
The wall cannot be curved; it must be a flat plane. If the wall cuts through a creature’s space when it appears, the creature is pushed to one side of the wall (your choice).
