You take a defensive stance, raising your shield to create a barrier of divine energy in a protective cone behind you. When you cast this spell, you designate a 15 foot cone of protection that lasts for as long as you maintain this spell. Whenever you or any allies within the cone would take damage, that damage is reduced by 2 times the spell slot level used to cast the spell.
This spell ends after 1 minute, if you move, or if you use your action or bonus action to do anything else. While this spell is in effect you cannot be moved unless willing or from falling.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, allies within the cone also gain a cover bonus from attacks and effects made from outside the cone. Using a 5th level or higher slot they gain half cover, 7th level or higher they gain three-quarters cover, and 9th level they gain full cover.
