Arcane Bindings

You conjure mystical chains of energy to restrain a foe within a 30-foot range either by weapon attack. The targeted creature must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the following effects apply:

• On a regular failed save, the creature is restrained and takes 2d8 thunder damage.
• Each turn the restrained creature can attempt to make a Strength saving throw to escape the bindings. On a failure, it takes an additional 1d8 thunder damage.
• On a successful saving throw, the creature breaks free from the bindings.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a 3nd-level or higher spell slot, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st.
