A large downpour drenches a 20ft radius, 40ft high cylinder centered on a point within range. Each creature in the cylinder must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 4d6 Necrotic damage and 3d8 force damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The rushing water drains the life force from a creature and you gain half the Necrotic damage as temporary hit points in the form of a water shield. Once the water shield is broken (the temporary hit points are reduced to 0), an explosion of water in a radius of 10ft from you blasts all surrounding creatures. A creature caught in the blast takes 3d8 force damage.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the force damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 5th.
