You magically twist space around two creatures you can see within range, one (creature A) that is about to be struck or receive damage and another creature within range (creature B). Both creatures must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (the target can choose to fail), or the targets are teleported and switch places (creatures must be of similar (one up or down) and their spaces must be enough to confine either of them).
On a failed save in both creatures' cases, they swap places and the second creature (Creature B) takes halved damage instead of the one that disappeared.
On a successful save, creatures don’t swap places but Creature A shifts in space giving a disadvantage on the attack that was about to strike it (melee, ranged, or targeted spell attack), or an advantage in case of saving throws for an area of effects (like Fireball).
* - (when a creature you can see within 60 feet of yourself is about to get hit with an attack or targeted by an area of effect attack)
