This spell is a minor magical trick and activator that novice hemocrafters use for practice, utilizing blood from themselves or others to better their bond to the craft and to prepare other hemocraft spells. For minor magical tricks, you can do among the following:
- Change the consistency of spilled blood into that of solid, liquid, or mist. You are also able to make spilled blood bubble, steam, and freeze for one minute.
- Crystallize a bead of blood, retaining a connection of where it is at all times through necromantic energy for one minute.
- You create a nonmagical trinket of blood or an illusory image through crimson mist that can fit in your hand and that lasts until the end of your next turn..
- Instantaneously clean a patch of blood no more than 1 cubic foot.
- Heat or chill blood within the bodies of Medium sized creatures or smaller to change if they feel warm or cold for one minute.
If you cast this spell multiple times, you can have up to three of its non-instantaneous effects active at a time, and you can dismiss such an effect as an action.
To begin invoking higher hemocraft magic, you must take 1d10 damage damage to activate your connection to blood magic for 1 minute. This fulfills the beginning prerequisite to begin casting blood magic, and must remain active to be able to cast other hemocraft spells. For most cast spells utilizing Hemocraft will have a cost against the caster. Be cautious...
* - (Blood of the caster or other target.)
