You conjure an invisible wall of dark matter on a solid surface within range. The wall can be up to 30 feet long, 10 feet high, and 1 foot thick. The wall is immune to all damage and can’t be dispelled by dispel magic. A disintegrate spell destroys the wall instantly, however.
Creatures that attempt to move through the wall must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the creature ends its turn and is pulled into the wall due to the gravitational effects of the dark matter. The creature immediately takes 2d8 force damage from the intense gravitational forces. On a successful save, the creature can move through the wall, but its speed is halved as it fights against the gravitational pull.
Objects and creatures that end their turn in the wall take 2d8 force damage from the intense gravitational forces.
The wall also has a gravitational lensing effect. Any ranged attack that passes through the wall, whether it’s a targeted spell, a spell with an area effect, or a ranged weapon attack, is at disadvantage.
As a bonus action on your turn, you can change the wall’s location to anywhere else within range.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 6th.
