You summon a dragon that appear in unoccupied spaces that you can see within range. When cast with a 3rd level spell slot, a dragon wyrmling is summoned. To determine the color, roll 1d10 and consult the table below.

  6. Bronze
  7. Blue
  8. Silver
  9. Red
  10. Gold

The summoned creature is friendly to you and your companions. Roll initiative for the summoned creature, which has its own turns. They obey any verbal commands that you issue to them (no action required by you). If you don’t issue any commands to them, they defend themself from hostile creatures, but otherwise take no actions. The DM has the creatures statistics. The dragon you summon is still a sentient being and if forced to do something against it's moral code, it may make a wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC to free itself from your control at the end of it's turn. If it succeeds it's saving throw it may choose to either return to where it was when it was summoned, or stay where it is now. When concentration is broken or the spell ends the creature is returned to where it was when it was summoned.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using certain higher-level spell slots, the type of dragon summoned changes, when a 6th-level slot is used, a young dragon is summoned, following the rules above, and an adult dragon with an 9th-level slot.
