You take your chosen platinum coin, flip it in the air and recall the power word "quaptalë", the elvish phrase for "to exchange". Wherever the coin lands within 10 feet of you appears a semi-ethereal merchant ready to do business with you. When casting you can choose one of two choices, you can either summon a regular merchant who will give you fair prices, have more mundane items, and will not buy stolen goods from you, or you can choose to summon a black market merchant who will have higher prices, rarer items, and will buy stolen goods from you.

When cast, regardless of which merchant you summon, the merchant will have a budget of 3000 gold pieces to do business with. The merchant cannot be stolen from and is summoned alongside a semi-ethereal stand holding its items. The DM may choose what items the merchant has, but it should always have a broad inventory for the party to peruse. The merchant is not obligated to purchase items.

If the party does business with the merchant and sells their items to him, the merchant's budget will not reset to the base amount until the 1st of every month or 30 days if your world's months are much longer.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the budget the merchant has increases by 1000 for each slot level above 3rd.
