You harness the paradoxical forces of space and teleportation, allowing you to blink between enemies and strike with your melee weapons.
Effects:
Teleport to a target within 30 feet and make a melee weapon attack. If the attack hits, it deals force damage equal to 4d8 + your spellcasting ability modifier. After the initial attack, immediately teleport next to a second random enemy within 30 feet and make another melee weapon attack. The second attack also deals force damage equal to 4d8 + your spellcasting ability modifier.
Paradox Anomaly:
Roll a d6 after casting the spell:
-
Quantum Phasing: After casting Blink Blade, you gain a +2 bonus to AC until the start of your next turn.
-
Temporal Echo: Striking with Blink Blade leaves a brief temporal echo. Until the end of your next turn, you have disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws.
-
Spatial Distortion: Your quick teleportation creates a spatial distortion. Until the end of your next turn, enemies have advantage on attack rolls against you.
-
Chronal Swiftness: The rapid attacks enhance your speed. Until the end of your next turn, your movement speed is doubled.
-
Paradoxical Surge: The paradoxical energies makes the blink blade attack another random creature within 60 feet, that attack is made with advantage.
-
Quantum Flux: Your presence becomes elusive. Until the end of your next turn, you can use a reaction to impose disadvantage on an attack roll targeting you.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage for each attack increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd.
